The Strategic Delivery Team works across Mencap to plan and implement a range of strategic initiatives ensuring that Mencap delivers its vision for the UK to be the best place in the world for people with a learning disability to live happy and healthy lives.
We are recruiting two experienced Business Analyst & Test Lead to join our vibrant and inclusive team. Both roles are on a full time 37.5 hours per week permanent basis Mon-Fri. This role is home based, with aprrox.1 monthly trip to our Peterborough office and approx.1 trip per quarter to either Birmingham or our London office.
The successful applicant will lead on the business analysis and testing processes across a range of initiatives. The initiatives by their nature will typically be large and cross-cutting, involving significant people, process and technology changes. Strong stakeholder management and the ability to demonstrate the value of utilising methodologies, as well as to apply them proportionally and visually will be key to keeping stakeholders engaged and supported.
You’ll have experience of applying best practice business analysis and testing methodologies across the full lifecycle on multi-million pound initiatives, which also have significant technology deliverables.
Your main duties will include:

- Apply your knowledge of proven business analyst methodologies and techniques to elicit, document, prioritise and agree requirements.
- To map the required business architecture for longer-term strategic solutions determining their scope and business capabilities, undertaking options analysis.
- Planning for and managing the human impact of change through the application of change management techniques.
- Working independently towards agreed outcomes and producing business analysis and testing artefacts to a high-level of quality
- Apply your knowledge of testing approaches to develop and execute testing strategies and plans, ensuring projects and programmes have delivered solutions in alignment with their requirements.

The skills and experiences we are looking for are:

- Experience in Business Analyst, having undertaken requirements elicitation, process analysis and architecting and designing business solutions.
- Experience as a test manager or test lead who has developed and executed test strategies and plans to ensure the quality of solutions meet stated requirements.
- Experience of line management and in coaching other team members.
- Experience of working with senior stakeholders
- Professional Business Analyst qualification
