Job description
An experienced Teaching Assistant is required to work with children with SEN, and to deliver interventions to groups across KS1 and KS2, in a vibrant, welcoming mainstream primary school in Manchester. This school offers exceptional provision for children with additional needs, and you would be joining a skilled, caring team. You would be working independently on a planned timetable, where you are responsible for specific groups, delivering targeted interventions and leading a range of activities.
This is a full-time role starting in September. The role is required for the full academic year, with continuation confirmed after a successful first term. You must have prior experience of working with children with additional needs. You will need to be a confident, independent worker who is comfortable with managing time effectively as you will be responsible for your own timetable. You will need to have good behaviour management skills as the children you will be working with have a variety of additional needs.
Essential requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN
- Experience working in a primary school in the UK
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Supporting Teaching and Learning, Supporting SEN, Education Studies etc)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be prepared to process a new one costing £45.80
