Hiring a Materials Engineer for our client based at Wilton, for full time temporary role providing expertise in chemical methacrylate manufacturing operations and major strategic projects.
You will lead and advise materials engineering for globally located company assets as the Subject Matter Expert and sole specialist for the business unit.
You will be: - Using materials technology to solve complex plant material engineering problems, leading development of various materials for multiple purposes
- Acting as consultant for major overhauls of global assets and providing audit support
- Sharing learning and networking to maximise processes and safety, whilst setting training standards and keeping abreast of industry standards and development
- Ensuring all involved parties understand and align on project material fabrication and inspection requirements by communicating effectively both internally and externally
You will have: - A relevant degree and recognised professional accreditation
- Significant career experience in the chemical or oil and gas industries including materials selection design
- Ability and willingness to travel both nationally and internationally, operating autonomously with technical expertise, judgement and influence
- Widespread inspection and assessment standards and processes knowledge, and in-depth pressure equipment and welding fabrication techniques experience and knowledge
