Job description
ranleigh STEM has partnered with a specialist environmental services organisation that designs, installs, commissions, and maintains industrial wastewater treatment plants for organisations within several sectors including but not limited to, aerospace, food & beverage, pharmaceutical and chemicals.
We are looking for a hands-on Process Engineerto manage the delivery of industrial wastewater treatment plants from initial design to installation and commissioning.
Salary:£55,000 - £65,000

Location:Cranleigh, Surrey (with 2-3 days travel per week)

Responsibilities:
Review P&I with client:
Collaborate with clients to review and understand Process and Instrumentation diagrams (P&I) thoroughly.
Prepare and update Gantt chart:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive Gantt chart outlining project timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
Prepare technical definitions for various items to procure (Bill of Material):
Create a detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for the required project components, specifying technical specifications, quantities, and sourcing details.
Prepare Functional Design Specifications:
Develop comprehensive Functional Design Specifications (FDS) based on project requirements and technical specifications.
Co-ordinate detailed design (layout, civil engineering guidelines, isometric):
Coordinate and oversee the detailed design process, including layout design, adherence to civil engineering guidelines, and the creation of isometric drawings.
Follow-up procurement:
Monitor and follow up on the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Organise site installation team and prepare RAMS:
Assemble and organise the site installation team, ensuring that each member is properly briefed on their roles and responsibilities.
Organise commissioning and de-snagging of plant:
Plan and coordinate the commissioning process, including the testing and validation of installed equipment and systems.
Skills & Requirements:
Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering Background:
A successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's or Master's in process engineering, chemical engineering or related subject.
Ability to Read and Amend P&I (AutoCAD):
Proficiency in reading and amending Process and Instrumentation (P&I) diagrams is crucial. This involves the use of AutoCAD software to interpret and modify these essential engineering documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
Strong Organisational, Communication, and Leadership Skills:
Strong communication skills are essential for conveying ideas, instructions, and project updates to team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
Objective-Driven with a Practical Mind:
Goal-oriented, driven by objectives, and focused on achieving results.
Computer Literacy:
Being computer literate is a fundamental requirement in today's technological landscape.
Ensure Interface Between Client and Design, Installation, and Commissioning Teams:
The candidate is responsible for bridging the communication gap between the client and the various teams involved in the project lifecycle. This includes the design, installation, and commissioning teams.
