What this job involves
Develop and execute energy management, waste reduction and water efficiency strategy
Implement comprehensive programs to reach annual objectives
Act as the subject matter expert to educate and guide key stakeholders on energy and sustainability topics and requests
Support corporate reporting objectives and provide management information relating to the use of utilities and the impact on the internal and external environment
Manage the energy, waste and water data collection process within JLL’s technology platform and produce monthly and quarterly reports that are tailored to meet our clients’ specific requirements
Drive operational improvements through the identification and implementation of opportunities to improve energy and sustainability performance across extensive real estate portfolios
Collaborate with other JLL energy managers to share best practices, develop case studies and develop new business opportunities
Engage with JLL facility managers to become the key point of contact for the provision of wide-ranging advice in relation to all aspects of environmental sustainability
Develop and enhance systems and processes for delivering best practice sustainability performance and use of utility/sustainability management systems for monitoring and/or reporting purposes
Provide technical training and/or mentor more junior colleagues
Conduct building energy assessments to the following standards: ASHRAE Level 1 (Light Touch) and 2 (Deep Dive)
Conduct building energy assessments to the following standards: ESOS, UK and non-UK, EED Article 8 (per relevant territory)
Collaborate with other regional team and Global Lead on building decarbonisation strategy to help client reach Net Zero carbon targets.
Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications
Desired experience and technical skills
Robust experience reviewing and assessing the technical capabilities and improvement pathways across a diverse built environment, including commercial office space (both landlord and tenant), retail space, leisure facilities, datacentres, industrial and manufacturing sites
Experience working with commercial real estate (CRE) organisations, engaging with key stakeholder groups, e.g., Client contacts, property, and facilities managers
Advanced understanding of energy and water conservation measures
Strong ability to analyse corporate portfolio by benchmarking and reviewing utility data to drive sustainability measures
Advanced understanding of Greenhouse Gas Emission scopes and reporting
Familiarity with energy procurement process and renewable energy options
Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view
Lead the technical support team to solve complex problems, plan and prioritize deadlines and think strategically to identify innovative solutions
System knowledge in BMS, FDD, metering and sub-metering data analytics.
Desirable
Experienced conducting site walkthroughs in order to find conservation measures (e.g. ASHRAE Level 1 and 2)
Strong project management skills and an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high pressure, deadline driven environment
Experience in the preparation of tenders and work orders and the ability to select appropriate equipment and service vendors
Specialized knowledge of environmental reporting, utility management and energy budgets, an environmental improvement program, and ISO 14001 compliance
Experience working with multifunctional team in order to drive results .
