SEND Class Teacher Required

Position: SEND Class Teacher
Location: Kidderminster
Type: Monday to Friday, Term Time only
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Salary: M1-M6 per annum (Based on teaching pay scale and experience)

Are you wanting to support students to learn and develop skills for life?

Teaching Students in our partnered SEND school is a rewarding experience, where you teach students key life skills alongside curriculum and educational milestones. Your skills as a qualified teacher will enhance each child's holistic development and you will celebrate each milestone with them.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and deliver engaging lessons catered to students with varying SEND.

· Set learning goals in line with Educational Health Care Plans.

· Coordinate with the SENCO, teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists.

· Modify teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles.

· Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive and inclusive environment.

· Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student development.

Requirements:

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

· Early Careers Teachers (ECT) are welcome to apply.

· Relevant SEND experience.

· Enhanced DBS (can be obtained during the interview process).

· Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

· Be proactive, patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting vulnerable students.

Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm, Monday - Friday

Salary is based on teaching pay scale and linked to experience and expertise.

The school is a broad spectrum of special needs school for children aged 3-19. They are known for being a communication specialist school and use sign-a-long, PECS and communication passports.

The school supports the development of all the children who attend the school so they can develop and progress academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

The school has an exciting curriculum which makes use of the fantastic facilities available, including soft play, dark room, sensory rooms and forest school to name a few.
