Job description
Churchill Howard is working with an award-winning FTSE-listed business to recruit a Group Financial Accountant. This fantastic opportunity will allow the successful candidate to develop in a fast-paced, goal-orientated environment and will offer the option to progress within the group function or move into the wider finance.
Group Financial Accountant – Role Profile:
• Provide accounting advice to the wider business
• Undertake a technical review of accounting standards (such as IFRS) and assess their impact
• Business Partnering including creating forecasts and budgets for various departments and looking into variances against budget
• Work closely with Senior Management, including the Financial Controller and CFO
• Involvement with balance sheet accounts, i.e reconciliations
• Engage with auditors on plans and information required
• Ad hoc group finance project work
The role of Group Financial Accountant would represent a strong first or second time move for candidates coming from a practice background. They would be joining a business that is known for achieving exceptional results and developing their employees whilst doing so. They would also have the opportunity to use this role as a stepping stone into the commercial finance team, prior to gaining a fantastic knowledge of the business and how the finance team is run on a day to day basis.
Ideally, you will be a good communicator with technical knowledge of IFRS and will hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ ICAS/ ACCA or equivalent).
The working pattern involves a hybrid model so a mix of WFH and in the office (c2 days a week).
