Deputy Ward Manager/Charge Nurse
Burgess Hill Hospital About Burgess Hill Hospital Priory Hospital Burgess Hill has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our Team; in September 2023 we opened a third ward which is a 10 bedded male adult PICU.
The hospital is currently split across three units:
- EA – male psychiatric intensive care ward
- AJ – male psychiatric intensive care ward
- MS – acute general adult male-only ward

Job Profile - Qualified as a Registered nurse and passionate about patient care
- Committed to providing a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
- Ensuring there is a high standard of care for patients in terms of their mental and physical health
- Act as a role model and provide leadership to more Junior staff
- Work effectively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team
- Committed to supervision, appraisal and Continuous Professional Development
- Support with recruitment and retention
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities - Excellent clinical knowledge based on evidence based practice
- Experience of Care Plans ,Risk Assessments and writing reports
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act Legislation and statutory regulations
- Experience of staffing, skill mix and leading shifts
- Committed to supporting Junior Staff and Students
