Location
Cumbria | United Kingdom
Job description
Chief Executive Officer
Changing Lives Learning Trust
Salary: Competitive and negotiable
Hybrid: Trust Offices/Remote - relocation package available
(Cumbria CA22 2DQ)
Changing Lives Learning Trust is on an exciting trajectory, with significant growth across our thriving body of seven schools. Situated in the northwest of England, our Trust spans the picturesque Cumbrian coastline and across the hills and fells of the Lake District. Whilst our setting is serene, our ambition and potential as a Trust is certainly not.
Incorporating 2800 students, 450 staff, and the One Cumbria Teaching School Hub (supporting the development of hundreds of new teachers and emerging leaders across the region) there is very little time to sit back and take in the view – because Changing Lives takes energy and action!
Ably supported by our Sponsors, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Sellafield Limited and the University of Central Lancashire – we’ve built ‘capacity in advance of need’ across every level of our organisation to aid our growth. This has enabled us to bolster foundations, nurture emerging talent and drive sustainable improvement across our family of schools.
As the retirement of our current CEO approaches, we begin a new phase in our development journey. As our incoming CEO, you will have a strong track record of strategic leadership, a determination to upholding our aims and values – and commitment to work effectively with the Board and Executive Leadership Team to further develop, hone and implement our Trust strategy.
To be our new CEO, you must demonstrate leadership with uncompromising honesty, integrity and ambition for our vision; that we will have legitimate grounds to claim that those we undertake to teach and train will have a preparation for life that is excelled by no other. Whether currently leading a MAT or aspiring to do so, you will combine strategic leadership experience in a complex setting with spirit, creativity and drive. You will bring a demonstrable commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, coupled with the personal presence to represent the Trust regionally and nationally – supporting our ongoing development and deepening our commitment to the learning communities we serve.
If you are confident that you have the relevant experience, authentic leadership skills and grit to change lives – then we want to hear from you.
