Job description
An internationally renowned digital media agency who work with clients in the music industry are looking for a Social Account Director to join and lead the social arm of the agency. This is a fantastic opportunity to partner with record labels, artists, DJ's and promoters creating award winning content.
You will be based in London, working a flexible, hybrid working environment. In addition, as the head of the social team you will have prior experience people managing ideally in a small agency setting.
Prior experience managing social content for music brands, clients or platforms will be deemed preferable to succeed in this role.
What you'll be doing:
- Maintaining day-to-day relationships with clients across artists and brands, deepening your understanding of their needs and values
- Oversight and quality control of all of the social media management of the agency to its clients; copywriting, calendar building, account management, channel management, client reporting, timely and reactive content.
- Ensure all jobs are delivered on time and to scope with a commercial eye on profitability is key
- Mentor and support a social team of 5 committed to their development and growth within the business.
- Collaborating, and reporting into the senior management and senior leadership teams to develop as an individual including skillset, knowledge, and method styles to suit the business and clients accordingly.
- Get involved in client pitches from ideation through to presentation.
What we're looking for:
- Experience working within a similar role and environment, with a passion and knowledge of the music industry. Maybe you've come from an agency, working at a label, or in-house at an artist management company or music adjacent brand
- An understanding and exposure to social media platforms, with the know-how of multiple platforms, trends and challenges
- High level of written, verbal and numerical literacy, to understand key trends within data to communicate to the team and wider business
- Confidence and attention-to-detail when solving client problems with the ability to say no to a client without damaging relationships
- A leader to not only manage a team but someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and do the do on strategic client work as well
- Someone who loves a laugh, who doesn't have an ego and is passionate about the industry
