Vetro Recruitment are looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, in or around Ebbw Vale who is experienced with Special Educational needs specifically supporting pupils with challenging behaviour. The successful teaching assistant will be working full time on a 1-2-1 basis supporting a year 6, male pupil during his school day.

The school itself is one of the biggest schools in Ebbw Vale with a supportive and welcoming cohort of staff. Other Vetro Recruitment members of staff who have worked within the school have been full of praise for the experience that they have had and are always keen to return.

Overview:

• Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
• Minimum Pay: £80 with no payroll charges
• Location: Ebbw Vale
• Hours: Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm
• Start Date - ASAP

The role : What you'll be doing as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant

• Supporting and supervising with a year 6 pupil on a 1-2-1 basis
• Helping the pupil stay on task and taking part in lessons
• Work in partnership with other members of staff
• Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
• Assist learner at break time with their lunch where needed
• Support learner at break time and lunch time where needed
• Work in accordance to the schools behaviour management policies
• Create and maintain a positive relationship with the learner

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant
• Experience working or volunteering with children with challenging behaviour
• Proactive work ethic
• Resilient character
• A good understanding of special educational needs
• The ability to provide a range of support to pupils
• A patient and understanding attitude
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Ideally a keen interest in sport
