Job description

Duffryn Ffrwd Manor are a privately owned Care Home located on the border of Cardiff, Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taff and we are five minutes from junction 32 of the M4 with easy access to the A470 and we have been trading for over 25 years. We are looking to recruit an experienced part time administrator to cover maternity leave for approximately 9 to 12 months (with a view to becoming permanent). This is a varied and interesting role and you will be providing main administration support to the Manager & Deputy Manager of the Care Home to ensure that the main office runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. You will be working 5 days per week. Hours and rate of pay will be discussed at interview.

Administration duties: You will be answering incoming calls, meeting & greeting visitors, taking telephone bed enquiries and arranging “walk arounds” for prospective clients. Collecting and sorting incoming mail, booking training, general office duties e.g. taking notes of meetings, typing, emails, photocopying and filing. In addition to this you will be involved with HR duties, e.g., advertising for staff, selecting candidates and conducting interviews, ordering and controlling staff uniforms, putting together induction packs, applying for DBS checks attending meeting and taking minutes and dealing with staff queries. Therefore, experience in human resources would be an advantage.
