Position - Support Worker - Days only
Employment type - Permanent
Location - Taunton
Salary - £26,200 p.a.
Hours - 40 per week, typically 3 long days (7.00am to 6.30pm) and one early/late (7am to 2pm OR 2pm to 9.30pm). Rotas are planned in advance

About the role - This service is classed as a care home and your role is to support with day to day living such as washing and shaving, sign posting, offer emotional support through talking, personal care with those who need it, encourage meaningful activities and access in the community. You will key work with residents and implement their care plan whilst record keeping progress, administering medication and preparing rooms for new referrals. The age range of adults in this service can be anything from 18 to 65 and therefore the level of support for each will vary greatly.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience required -.We are looking for non-judgemental support workers who have supported adults who at times can be verbally challenging. You need a calming, credible nature and a passion for giving people a second chance. NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards, a UK driving license with access to your own vehicle. You need a flexible nature with good listening and writing skills
