Job Introduction
As a Night Shift Cleaning Operative at Sodexo, you play a pivotal role in maintaining a clean and safe environment at the Johnnie Walker Experience in Edinburgh. Join Sodexo and contribute to the first-class standards expected from the UK flagship retail experience.
What you'll do:
- Complete daily cleaning services during non-core business hours, ensuring full access for visitors.
- Maintain cleaning standards in accordance with company policies and values.
- Follow instructions from your Sodexo Cleaning Supervisor to provide an efficient and effective cleaning service.
- Prioritize tasks and respond as requested to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Complete and submit necessary report forms related to cleaning tasks.
- Understand client requirements to enhance customer experiences.
- Ensure all relevant Sodexo paperwork is accurate and completed.
- Conduct necessary cleaning tasks efficiently and report any faults or defects immediately to your line manager.
- Complete all required training and adhere to Sodexo cleaning procedures and SOPs.
- Assist with fire evacuations on site.
- Ensure correct uniform standards are maintained at all times.
- Be flexible and available for major events on site.
What you bring:
- Good communication skills are essential.
- Cleaning experience within a business corporate/high-end retail or events environment is essential.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks is essential.
- Ability to respond to a variety of tasks created by the customer and colleagues is essential.
- Good knowledge of health and safety is essential.
- Knowledge and understanding of cleaning in a busy environment is essential.
- Adherence to Sodexo health and safety regulations and equal opportunity regulations is essential.
- Ability to write accurate, legible operational reports is essential.
Accountabilities:
- Accountable for the delivery of cleaning within the JW Princess Street, ensuring compliance with statutory, contractual, and company regulations and processes.
- Ensure exemplary standards of cleaning and customer service are always provided to the client and visitors.
