We are working in partnership with a Local Authorityto appoint a looking a dynamic Homelessness and Prevention Officerto join our their team in Rugby!
As a Homelessness and Prevention Officer, you'll play a vital role in preventing homelessness and assisting clients in securing suitable accommodation within the private rented sector or social housing when necessary. Your compassion and expertise will be instrumental in providing support and guidance to those in need.
Responsibilities include the following:
Preventing Homelessness: Proactively engage with clients to assess their housing situations and provide intervention and support to prevent homelessness wherever possible.
Client Support:Offer comprehensive support services to individuals facing housing instability, including advocacy, advice, and guidance on housing options and entitlements.
Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and circumstances to develop personalised housing plans tailored to their specific situations.
Housing Solutions:Work collaboratively with clients to explore and secure appropriate housing solutions within the private rented sector or social housing, ensuring suitability and affordability.
