Job description
A lovely live-out, two day Nanny/Housekeeper position has become available in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. This professional and friendly family is looking for an energetic and fun nanny to help take care of their three happy and active children, a girl aged five, a boy aged three and another little girl aged one. The children attend school and nursery each day, and will need to be collected t 16.30 each day. This is a sole charge role.
During term time (34 weeks) the hours will be a 13.00-19.00 for two days each week (12 hours). One of the days has to be a Thursday, but the other day can be a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. In the school holidays (18 weeks), the hours will increase to 07.30 – 19.00 for the two days (23 hours). Your salary will be split evenly across the year. There is also the opportunity for ad hoc additional hours for babysitting, which will be mutually agreed in advance and paid as overtime. In the school holidays, the parents would like you to take the children on fun and educational day trips and activities, meeting up with their friends to help them to socialise, keeping them happy and safe at all times. The children like playing outside in their garden and going to the park to keep active, as well as having fun indoors with craft activities, reading stories and playing games. As well as collecting the children from nursery, school or their clubs, you will have some time each day before you collect them to help keep the family organised. This includes tasks such as general care of the children, family laundry and ironing, keeping the children’s bedrooms and playroom organised and tidy, ensuring they have everything they need for the next day (uniform prepared, etc), helping to oversee any homework and keeping on top of any school admin. Although there are weekly cleaners, any help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated (keeping the kitchen tidy, emptying the dishwasher, running the occasional errand, etc). You will be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the family each day, preferably homemade whenever possible. At the end of each day, you will leave all used rooms tidy, ready for the parents to take over. You should be a careful and confident driver with a clean driving licence and your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid.
