Job description
We are looking for a self-motivated Placement Commissioning Officer to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with passion and drive to play a key role in ensuring our children and young people live with care providers that best meet their needs. The Placement Commissioning Officers work with social workers to identify care providers for children and young people in our care. The successful candidate will work proactively to find suitable placements that meet the needs of the child or young person, maximising placement choice and stability and collaborating with care providers to plan effectively for transition into a placement. The service is busy and dynamic and you will be expected to respond to multiple requests for placements, sometimes at short notice and with tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively at all levels, able to maintain accurate records relating to placements and placement searches and be able to analyse data from searches. This is a two-day (15 hours) per week post; the days must be Thursday and Friday. This post can be undertaken alongside the Commissioning Support Officer post – making a total of 4.5 days per week.
