Our client work on high profile rail infrastructure projects within the UK and in Sheffield they are requiring an experienced senior civil or structural engineer to work and to deliver these rail schemes using BIM technology. 

-You will be delivering civil engineering design drawings as part of a team on rail infrastructure projects including level crossings. You will have the opportunity to develop your BIM skills and also have structured training towards achieving EngTech or Incorporated status with the ICE. This will include working alongside engineers within the team and the wider office in the development of both 2D and 3D CAD drawings and specifications. This is a challenging role which will give you the opportunity to develop your skills and progress within the company. 

Candidate Specification 

You will have the following essential academic, professional qualifications and experience: 

- BEng & MSc or MEng in civil engineering 
- Chartered, or approaching Chartered, Status 
- Experience of rail civil engineering within a consultancy environmen 
- Sound technical capability and familiarity with current industry standards and software applications. 

Ideally you will have; 

- extensive rail civils experience; 
- be familiar with all aspects of design 
- have proven experience leading small teams. 

We will consider staff with experience in other areas of infrastructure or with a broad range of skills. Holding current PTS certification would be an advantage but not essential. Full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate to develop their career.
