The Role of Plant Field Service Engineer:

In this key customer facing role our Field Service Engineers professionally and effectively service, check, and repair our plant machinery and equipment at customer/client sites. Duties of our Field Service Engineers will also include the following:

• Professionally and effectively checking and diagnosing mechanical problems
• Repairing and replacing of faulty parts
• Ensure all work is accurately recorded and provide recommendations
• Procure and manage parts to effectively complete repairs as efficiently as possible
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including safety checks, implementing safe working procedures, and escalating further concerns to our Central Service Manager
• Ensure high quality company standards and understanding the impact of great customer service
• Provide the best possible turnaround for plant/ vehicles whilst ensuring the correct Company Safety & Quality Standards are achieved.

Are you the right person for this role?

The role of FSE is a skilled position , therefore the following skills/qualifications and experience are required:

• A solid understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems specific to the operations of heavy plant machinery
• You will be qualified to (S)NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent
• Be a CSCS Gold Card holder (Desirable)
• Experience gained in the Plant Industry
• Have experience with Heavy Rollers, Rotos, Telehandlers
• An effective communicator, specifically in explaining technical issues
• Capable of working to and achieving set targets/deadlines.
• Customer focused
• Being a team player is vital in this role, but you will also be able to work on your own initiative
