Title: Finance Director

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000

Location: Bristol

Type: Perm

A fantastic opportunity has come up a brand new client of ours.Managing 2 direct reports with another 12 in the broader team. A Billing & Credit Manager and Finance Operations Manager. Their roles are to manage the day-to-day finance operational teams, ensuring the teams comply with SRA Accounts Rules and produce work which is of a high standard

Role

To ensure that the billing team deliver an accurate and efficient service to the legal teams within the business. This team manage high volumes so efficiencies within our practice management system need to be utilised.

To ensure that cash collection is well managed across the business and leads on strategy of problematic debt with a balanced solution driven outcome.

To maintain a client accounting team where client monies are handled in accordance with SRA Accounts Rules and receipts and payments are processed efficiently to meet the demands of our clients.

To highlight the risks associated with client accounting transactions and highlighting to the firms COFA any concerns or breaches that need to be reported

To demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, being recognised as a role model who can influence, motivate, and lead a professional accounts team.

To provide training and guidance both within the team and the wider business on SRA Accounts Rules aligned with our internal process

Being a trusted contact with our external bankers ensuring that the services we use are fit for purpose and leading the team on contact with the bank.

To lead the annual audit process with our external auditors for SRA purposes with support from the Finance Manager.

To deal with annual performance reviews as well as supervision and professional development of the team.

To be confident in reflecting on our current processes and make suggestions and implementing for improvement to the efficiency of the team.

To have gravitas and operational experience to make these changes and lead projects. This would include training and adoption across the business.

To be the finance lead on acquisitions or structural changes. Working with project teams providing financial due diligence and be responsible for the transition and integration financial data on the transactions.

To be responsible for the financial systems, managing upgrades and supplier relationships and communicating impact with the broader team.

Would accept applications from Finance Directors, Operation Finance Managers, Finance Controllers or other experienced Finance members who have previous Legal experience.
