Job description
Reporting to the Agriculture Director ensuring we adhere to standards in terms of industry compliance
Manages our audit team as an independent team who bring true impartiality to the farm audits and develops and owns a set of performance metrics at producer level and total level that are shared monthly with senior management.
Key Accountabilities of the role:-
- Provide Agriculture input, data, and communication between Technical, Ops & Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing.
- Drives continuous improvement of working processes & practices, providing feedback and challenge to the business on a bi-annual basis.
- Manage the internal audit team ensuring independence, objectivity, and impartiality for all the farm audits.
- Conducts quarterly on farm review with all auditors to ensure consistency of delivery and performance to required standards.
- Ensure the integrity, completeness and consistency of all data created from the audits and develops, owns and shares performance metrics.
- Owns monthly KPI’s, working in collaboration with the performance managers to ensure the data is used to drive improvement in producer margins.
- Manage and ensure compliance across the producer base to all industry code of practice, assessments, and training requirements: Lion Code, RSPCA assured, Defra and Organic bodies.
- Ensures compliance to Retailer and Brand standards across the producer base.
- Ensure all industry and retailer audits are completed to the agreed schedule.
- Maintain internal farm policy documentation.
- Collation, management, and compliance to Ethical Trading requirements: new supplier SAQ, bi-annual farm ethical audit and producer training programme across the producer base.
About you:-
Desirable:-
Degree in Agriculture, sustainability or related subject
Experience within the agriculture industry or sustainability sector relating to agriculture.
