Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lambeth to  assist with the appointment of a Prosecutions Lawyer  , on a 3- month contract, highly likely to be e xten d ed at clients discretion. Please apply with your  CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £163.05 per Day PAYE

Responsibilities:

• To provide advice to the Council on changes in legislation and case law that may have an impact on the Council and to keep up to date with new and proposed legislation, new cases and other developments, which may have an impact on the Council.
• To liaise with professional bodies, research institutions, Counsel, the Councils Chief Officers, elected members and other external organisations as required from time to time.
• To undertake tasks and projects as allocated by the Senior Prosecutions Lawyer in accordance with instructions.
• To assist in the development of and to operate and be conversant with all information technology systems used for the work of the team.
• To undertake any other duties that may be required to meet the exigencies of the service and these may be varied from time to time to meet the needs of the service.

Requirements:

• Must have recent local government experience in prosecutions and criminal litigation in a local government setting.
• Ideally looking for someone with 2 years PQE.

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
