About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Geography Teacher to join our high-quality school in Willesden, Brent. As a full-time Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing and delivering a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum to our students. You will also monitor and support their overall progress and development, contributing to the raising of standards of student attainment.

This is a permanent, full-time position, expected to work regular school hours. The salary range for this role is £140 - £210 per day, based on the inner London pay scale. The contract length is initially temporary, with a view to becoming permanent. The school is located in Willesden, Brent, Greater London. The post is to start at Easter 2024 or September 2024 dependent on the availability of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

Your main areas of responsibility will include:

• Implementing and delivering an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students
• Monitoring and supporting the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor
• Facilitating and encouraging a learning experience that enables students to achieve their individual potential
• Contributing to raising standards of student attainment
• Sharing and supporting the academy's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Possess a relevant undergraduate degree
• Understand effective teaching and learning practises
• Have knowledge of National Curriculum requirements and experience in curriculum planning
• Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Demonstrate good ICT skills, including innovative use of interactive whiteboards
• Create a motivating and safe learning environment for all students
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies when necessary
• Be able to motivate students and utilise strategies to raise their aspirations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
