Job description
An exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager has arisen within the Engineering Department. This role involves a strong commitment to productivity standards and strategic alignment with company goals. The Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining high customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
Who This Job Would Suit: This position is ideal for an experienced Engineering or Manufacturing Manager, a visionary strategic thinker, and a proficient leader with a track record in engineering and manufacturing management. The suitable candidate should have a strong understanding of modern manufacturing techniques, be adept at team management, and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals, emphasizing rapid new product introduction (NPI) and building an Engineering Powerhouse.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean Methodology, reducing set-up times, and enhancing departmental efficiency.
- Identify and foster strategic partnerships internally and externally to ensure resource capacity and flexibility.
- Lead a team of Engineers, ensuring effective performance through management and leadership skills.
- Contribute to teamwork across the Group, collaborating with sister companies to deliver solutions and enhance capabilities.
Requirements:
- HND or degree qualified in Mechanical engineering or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes such as multi axis conventional and non-conventional machining, wet treatments, surface modification, bonding, joining, and final assembly.
- CAD / CAM experience
- Experience within Aerospace/Defence/Automotive or transferable manufacturing sector.
- Strong Management experience.
- Experienced leading and managing technical projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- P&L experience.
Location - Accrington, Lancashire
Salary - c£65k - £70k (dependent on experience)
