Primary Swim Manager

 £25k - £27k (dependant on experience)

Monday-Friday  (occasional weekend and evening work may be required)

We are thrilled to collaborate with an organisation dedicated to involving as many Primary school children as possible in physical activity through swimming. Their mission, supported by highly trained staff delivering innovative sessions, aims to leave children excited about learning new skills and staying active.

As the Swim Programme manager, you will play a crucial role in an established and expanding swim programme focused on bringing swimming to primary schools. Your responsibilities will include enhancing efficiency, amplifying the programme's impact, and managing overall activities. This entails maintaining and cultivating relationships with partner schools, upholding the programme's delivery standards, supporting swim teachers and ensuring quality. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the success and growth of the swim programme.

 This programme involves pop up swimming pools that serve as a reimagining of school swimming lessons, that inspire and equip primary school swimmers most at risk of falling behind. The temporary pools helped to reduce travel time to local pools, maximise children’s familiarity with water safety and helped to maximise children’s time in the swimming pool.

Experience:

• Past experience of working with children in a swim teaching capacity, preferably primary school based.
  
• Leisure industry experience in a management role is desirable. 
• Being able to build strong professional relationships with adults and children alike is a must.
  
• Must have strong swimming curriculum knowledge as well as health and safety procedures.
  
• Level 2 swimming qualification is preferred and a level 1 qualification is a must. 
• Great organisational and project management skills.

• This is a management role where you'll oversee multiple sites in the local area but also may include swim lesson delivery.
