The role
We are looking for a Placements Officer to join our Fostering duty team. This is a fast paced role, getting to know our carers and matching emergency, short and long term placements. It will involve working with colleagues across services, and building positive relationships to ensure the right information is recorded and communicated well to promote successful placement matches, with the necessary support services in place.
You will be supported as part of the wider Fostering, SGO & Connected Persons and Carer Recruitment Service.
About you:
We are looking for someone with excellent organisation and administration skills, who is able to keep to clear timescales, supporting others to adhere to these and escalating where necessary. This post requires exceptional communication skills with foster carers and all members of the organisation, ensuring clear and coherent messages as well as feedback is shared. You will need to be able to keep accurate records and support data analysis.

Additional details
This role is fixed term for 12 months. Any internal staff would need to gain agreement from your substantive line manager if considering this is as a secondment opportunity.
Some flexibility required regarding working hours if placement requires sourcing however time in lieu provided.
Please note a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) at enhanced level is required.
