The company This venue has a dedicated events space for large scale corporate events and big name brands choosing this venue for conferences, exhibitions, awards shows and hospitality events. With a busy food catering and hospitality team that services a wide range of events, meetings and pop ups we now have an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef / Assistant Manager to join this thriving business.
The role As well as managing food preparation across a range of food outlets, cafes and retail areas this role is also super hands on with food preparation in the kitchen both during events and in the lead up to any events. The role will supervise more junior team members in food preparation and safe food hygiene. Due to the nature of events taking place there will be weekend work, with time back in lieu.
About you
We are looking for lots of energy and passion for the industry, you could be working currently as a Sous Chef in a retail, hospitality or restaurant setting. Proven experience in following processes and procedures in the kitchen, ideally with some experience working in a multi-site venue. You will have a minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate and have a good understanding of HACCP and COSHH systems and processes.
