JOB TITLE: Plastics Operator
LOCATION: Manchester NH 03103
DURATION: 45 Months Contract
TYPE: OnSite (Relocation is Paid)
THE CHALLENGE:
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Plastics Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate plastics extrusion equipment efficiently and safely including line setups changeovers startups and continuous operation. The Plastics Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the production of highquality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate plastics extrusion equipment including line setups changeovers startups and continuous operation.
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment performing preventative maintenance as required.
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment within the department.
Assist in the training of new employees on safety procedures equipment operation materials handling quality standards packaging power lifts and departmental procedures.
Perform departmental Preventative Maintenance assignments.
Conduct basic troubleshooting of extrusion machinery and plastics processes.
Adhere to standard operating procedures control plans safety and environmental procedures.
Comply with Quality Standard ISO/TS 16949 Environmental Standard ISO 14001 and BRC/IOP certification standards.
Monitor and ensure the quality of work in process semifinished and finished products in accordance with control plan specifications.
Participate in 6S initiatives related to departmental cleanliness organization and safety.
Contribute to Six Sigma and Lean initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes.
Maintain accuracy in production reporting downtime tracking sampling and data entry.
Interface and cooperate with other departments participating in crosstraining and obtaining secondary job certifications.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of manufacturing and/or related machine operation experience.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to read and understand working instructions and procedures.
Basic computer literacy.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in the English language including speaking reading and comprehension.
