Housemistress (Residential)

This role carries a high level of safeguarding responsibilities. Full safeguarding checks will be carried out on the successful applicant. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
At Queenswood, a GSA, BSA, HMC Boarding and Day School for approximately 480 girls aged 11 – 18), set in beautiful Hertfordshire countryside close to London, Housemistresses play a vital role in the pastoral and academic well-being of the students.
The Housemistress of Centre Main House is responsible for approximately 60 Y9 - Y13 full and weekly boarders.
This post would suit an experienced practitioner in pastoral care with QTS status, or someone looking for career advancement. This is a residential post and the job holder is required to live in the Boarding House.
Accommodation is provided all year within the boarding house and all associated expenses are met by the school. All meals during term time are also included. The role is term time and pay for school holiday periods is included.
