EDT are currently recruiting for Careers Consultants for a new exciting programme at Education Development Trust.

Location: across London

Salary: £33,232.00 per annum FTE (Including London Weighting)

These are fixed term contracts until 31 March 2025 with potential to extend,

We are recruiting for both full time and part time positions.

About us: Education Development Trust is an education charity that exists to transform lives by improving education around the world. We work collaboratively with national and local governments, schools and other partners to design and deliver sustainable solutions to improve education.

Get Ahead is a work experience programme for students at risk of NEET. The Careers Consultant role supports the pre and post work experience activity carried out in education institutions. Designing activities and lesson plans, and where necessary, delivering these to support students’ readiness and overall learning. Additionally, supporting teachers, schools and employers, guiding their planning and implementation of the programme, to ensure meaningful encounters, including running CPD sessions as required.

Contributing to the overall team activities and outputs to enable the successful achievement of the contract requirements.

This job description needs to be considered in the context of a developing and evolving service and therefore the duties described above will need to be adapted to meet the needs of the service. Able to work flexible hours when required.

You will have the following:

Knowledge Essential:

Will have L6 or above careers qualification.
Detailed knowledge of relevant developments in CEIAG and ability to apply these in a wider context.
In-depth knowledge of schools/college curriculum, Gatsby Benchmarks and statutory guidance requirements
Detailed knowledge of careers quality systems, evaluation methods and how to measure impact of activities.
In-depth understanding of careers and the relevant education, employment and training pathways
An understanding of and a commitment to equality of opportunity for all and how to tailor delivery or materials for different groups of students.
Desirable:

Knowledge of the Quality in Careers Standard
Experience Essential:

Will have worked collaboratively in a team setting and built/maintained effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Will have experience of delivering CEIAG and/or CEIAG consultancy in a school/college setting.
A proven track record of developing and designing materials, resources and activities suitable for different groups of students.
Experience of employer
work including engagement and co design of activities for young people
Desirable:

Careers Consultancy supporting schools and colleges to achieve the Quality in Careers Standard and/or relevant assessment experience.
Will have delivered careers education training to education professionals or employers .
