Job description
Nicholas Associates is currently recruiting a Groundworks Quantity Surveyor to be based in the West Midlands, on behalf of our client a reputable groundworks sub-contractor, known for commitment to the highest standards in every aspect of their. They specialise in the construction of housing, infrastructure and commercial projects with an emphasis on quality and safety
Working with management teams to prepare for future developments, procuring the Groundwork and Infrastructure packages for various housing projects across the West Midlands.
Responsibilities:
Monthly cost reports
Contractor Valuations
Contractor variations.
To work with the team and provide advise on how to manage the budget.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
Measure and assess the quantities of materials required.
Monitor and report on variations in project scope.
Review project costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Identify and assess potential risks related to cost, contracts, and project delivery.
Work with the site manager to mitigate risk.
Provide timely and accurate cost advice to support decision-making processes
