Location: Dubai, UAE
Start date: ASAP (willing to wait if the right person has a notice period)
Days and Hours: 12/6 - Sunday is off
Salary: between £1,200 and £1,500 per week (tax free in the UAE) (salary depending on experience and qualifications)
Languages: French speaker MUST + good english level
Children's ages: 5 years old girl
Travel: Yes, most of the school holidays (France, Lebanon and Switzerland)
Driver: Not needed
Pets: small dog in the house, no care needed
Accommodation: for the first few months sharing a big bedroom with the child (you have your own bed) + private bathroom, later on, a separate bedroom will be available.
This multilingual family based in Dubai is looking to hire a French-speaking nanny governess for their 5-year-old girl. Your role will be to develop her knowledge and skills in french, the parents hope that she will be fluent and confident with this language soon. There are 5 languages spoken in their house. The ideal governess will be someone professional, very reliable, focused and passionate about their job, not someone who is coming to Dubai for a short period just to have some fun. You will be sharing a big bedroom with the little girl, you will have your own bed and bathroom, this is only a temporary solution as later on you will have your own bedroom/bathroom. This will be discussed directly with the parents during interviews as we do not have a lot of details. The family lives in a huge flat 5min walk away from the Dubai Mall. This is a fully staffed household, with a private chef who is cooking all meals for the family and yourself as well. There are also a driver and a team of nannies housekeepers.
Your main duties will be talking and teaching French to the child through a lot of games, play time, singing, museum visit, park visit, organising activities, etc. You will also be required to do the school runs accompanied by the driver. You will have some down time during the day as she goes to school 5h per day. Great position for someone energetic and active, caring, smart and proactive! This is a long term role.
