Depot GeneralManager
The role of the General Manager is to lead and inspire a large team to enhance delivery and customer service across all product lines, and the overall Hygiene Division within the Swindon Operations Centre.
The General Manager will control all operations and appropriate commercial matters in such a manner as to deliver the Company’s plan and objectives without compromising standards in respect of health and safety, people, quality and service.
The General Manager will ensure the overall Hygiene KPIs are effectively communicated and achieved throughout all roles within the operation, while overseeing the largest Operation Centre P&L in the Hygiene Division.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead a team effectively to deliver the Hygiene plan.
- Leading, motivating and inspiring the team as an effective role model.
- Able to lead individuals across all Hygiene product lines and bring them together to work efficiently as one team.
- Provide an environment that drives employee engagement in line with Company values
- Act on management information which can assist in the efficient running of the Operations Centre.
- Undertake resource planning processes, ensuring the levels are effective, productive and consistently increase utilisation while managing resources effectively to exceed budget without compromising the KPIs on any of the three product lines.
- Fulfilall aspects of performance management including setting and agreeing standards of performance, preparing individual plans for improved performance, and monitoring and regularly reviewing performance.
- Ensure all appropriate policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Ensure all KPIs for all roles are achieved – performance manage all roles ensuring quality and performance
- To ensure employees are suitably trained, including documentation, in all areas of H & S
- Be aware and knowledgeable of all legislation relevant to the business and ensure compliance.
- Carry out quality audits to ensure adherence to Company policies.
- Lead and support the front line team in gaining leads and customer feedback and ensure they play their part in the query resolution loop.
- Ensure consistent quality product and services and be proud of PHS.
- Demonstrates respect for the customer and is committed to provide value for money.
Person Specification
- Hold a Mangers CPC (essential)
- Hold a valid driving licence (essential)
- COTC qualification (desirable)
- NEBOSH Managing Safety or equivalent (essential)
- Recognised Management qualification (desirable)
