Position Summary:     
As part of the global IT team, the Master Data Leader is responsible for the governance, quality, and management of Infineum master data. 


Infineum will embark on a major transformation project to replace our legacy SAP ECC environment with S/4 HANA.  The Master Data Leader will join the project as a core team member to lead the implementation of new processes, governance, and tool (SAP MDG), ensuring that master data requirements for all end-to-end processes and analytics are met and that master data quality can be effectively maintained thereafter.      


On completion of the project, the Master Data Leader will oversee and manage Infineum master data to ensure its accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Master data refers to the foundational and critical data shared across an organization, such as customer data, product data, vendor data, and employee data. Managing master data effectively is essential for efficient business operations and data-driven decision-making.


They will lead efforts to define data standards, policies, and procedures, and ensure that master data is accurate, consistent, and available for use across the organization. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining data integrity and supporting data-driven initiatives across the corporation.


They will lead some internal resources (Master Data Amins), IT peers and a network of external service providers including third party contractors/consultants to guarantee the required level of support and controls.

The successful candidate needs to combine a diverse set of technical skills (Enterprise Data Governance, Master Data Management, Business processes, main SAP and Data base architectures) and the ability to lead a small group of colleagues, working in virtual teams composed by Business Data owners and IT global team members.

 

What you will be doing:

•    Master Data Governance: Develop and implement master data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
•    Data Quality Management: In collaboration with the Enterprise Data Governance Lead, monitor and improve the quality of master data through data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation processes. Establish data quality metrics and KPIs.
•    Data Standards: In collaboration with the Enterprise Data Governance Lead, define and enforce data standards for naming conventions, data formats, and data categorization to maintain consistency across systems and departments.
•    Data Integration: In collaboration with the ERP-SAP and D&A team, coordinate data integration efforts across various business systems and applications to ensure that master data is consistently used and updated.
•    Data Ownership: In collaboration with the Enterprise Data Governance Lead, assign data ownership responsibilities to relevant business units or data stewards. Collaborate with data stewards to manage and maintain data integrity.
•    Data Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to master data, including data dictionaries, data models, and metadata.
•    Master Data Maintenance: Lead the team of Master Data Admins, also overseeing data entry and maintenance processes, ensuring that data updates are made accurately and in a timely manner.
•    Data Security: In collaboration with the Security team, implement and enforce data security measures to protect sensitive master data from unauthorized access or breaches.
•    Data Migration: In collaboration with the ERP-SAP and D&A team, plan and execute data migration projects, ensuring that data is accurately transformed and transferred between systems during system upgrades or migrations.

 

A successful candidate is likely to have: 
•    Master Data Management skills with significant experiences on SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA.
•    Demonstrable experience in enterprise data governance 
•    Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Business, or a related field Relevant certifications in data management (e.g., CDMP, DAMA) are a plus.
•    Experience in leading teams 
•    Good planning and documentation skills Project management experience may be beneficial.
•    Experience with change control and management 
•    Vendor management skills and experience
