A growing and dynamic law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their team, with the option to be based in Manchester (preferred) or Liverpool. In this role, you will handle a diverse range of employment matters, actively contributing to the growth of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Offer expert guidance to both employers and employees on a variety of employment law issues, including discrimination, redundancy, disciplinary procedures, and employment contracts.
- Prepare, review, and revise employment contracts, policies, procedures, tribunal submissions, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with relevant legal standards and best practices.
- Manage an existing book of employment law matters, demonstrating versatility in handling various employment cases.
- Actively generate new work for the department by attracting new clients and fostering existing client relationships.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2-3 years PQE with demonstrable experience in handling a variety of employment cases.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law, with a commitment to staying current with legislative changes.
- Proven track record in advising on employment-related matters and representing clients in Employment Tribunals and mediations.
- Excellent drafting and reviewing skills for a range of legal documents.
- Strong case management experience, with proficiency in Proclaim being desirable.
- Experience of business development is advantageous.
