Job description
At least 3-4 years’ experience of developing Java Software in a commercial environment
Developing and consuming APIs (RESTful/SOAP)
Good knowledge of databases and developing complex SQL queries
Spring Boot, Thymeleaf, Microsoft SQL Server, JQuery, MySQL and JavaScript
Developing software using a Microservice architecture
Software development in an Agile Environment, ideally using Jira
Knowledge of Docker and container technologies
Experience of Test Driven Development
Knowledge of Build Pipelines and CI/CD automation
Expertise in health informatics and interoperability technologies, e.g. FHIR, HL7, INTEROPen
Expertise in information security and governance
Implementation of mission critical software and systems for the NHS, wider public sector and leading service providers
Invaluable experience working in a growth sector – it’s a national priority to help people stay well for longer!
Experience of modern Agile development methods
A passion for software development and an ability to work with a variety of technologies and languages
A love of a technical challenge and creative problem solving
Good interpersonal skills and an approachable outlook
A talent for communicating complex things to non-technical people

Permanent position
£45,000 to £60,000 negotiable per annum (depending on experience)
31 days holiday, increasing further with service
Holiday buy and sell scheme
Pension (company contribution 5%)
