Job description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Payroll Consultant for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a day rate of £250-£325 (inside of IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.

 
Responsibilities:

 
- Complete a baseline audit of the monthly payroll and make recommendations for change.
- Review and development of the organisation’s payroll contingency plans.
 
Essential Skills:

 
- Experience of working in a complex payroll environment with knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
- Experience of carrying out monthly payroll activities including the completion of operational process checks, interface routines and reconciliations of payroll.
- Experience of dealing with pensions.
- Governance and accuracy are essential to the efficient operation of the service so you will have a track record of attention to detail and deployment of your technical skill and knowledge.
- Relationships and Collaboration - Effective stakeholder relationships are key to the success of the payroll function within the organisation so you will have to build relationships within the team, the wider HR function, and with Finance.
