Carlton le Willows Academy are looking to appoint a Teacher of Maths to join our academy in April or September 2024, on a full time, permanent, basis.
Carlton le Willows Academy has an exciting opportunity for a committed and motivated teacher to join our hugely successful maths department team. The Class of 2023 achieved a maths progress score of +0.52 at GCSE, with 84% of students achieving a grade 4, 65% a grade 5 and 35% achieving grade 7 or higher. This is the direct result of the team’s commitment to supporting pupils to help them achieve their very best in this most vital of subjects. It is no coincidence that Maths A Level is our most popular subject Post-16.
This role is an ideal opportunity for a classroom practitioner who can display a real passion for developing and inspiring pupils in their care. This post is suitable for both ECTs looking to take their first steps in teaching or for experienced teachers looking to develop and further their career.

We invest in our staff by ensuring continuous CPD with the chance to access a coaching programme and also the opportunity to work with lead teachers and subject directors as part of Delta Academies Trust. The maths department also ensures pupils benefit from small group intervention sessions and a comprehensive enrichment programme. In summer 2023 78% of pupils secured a Grade 4+ in English and Maths and 55% achieved this at grade 5+. Across the board 76% of pupils achieved grade 4+ in five or more GCSEs and our progress score was +0.2 placing us above similar schools nationally.
A level student in our high performing sixth form achieved a 100% pass rate in 2023, with the average A level grade a B-, retaining our reputation for academic excellence post 16.
