Your new school
This Ofsted rated 'good' school is a school that has gone through a period of positive change in recent years, with a new Headteacher joining the school in January 2023. This Headteacher has a clear structure for his plans for the school, with new outdoor and indoor facilities being invested in to give students the best experience and opportunities both inside and outside of lessons. The school has also been part of a multi-academy trust since 2017 and works with other schools within the trust to share ideas and opportunities with students.The school is located close to the City Centre, making it easily accessible by both car and public transport.
Your new role
In your new secondary teaching job you will be expected to plan interesting and challenging English lessons that will engage pupils, and you will have the natural ability to deliver them with confidence and enthusiasm.
You will be able to construct exciting lessons from basic schemes of work and work alongside other teachers within the department in the delivery of them.
This is a temporary role for five days per week on a long-term basis, starting after Easter.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced English teacher that is passionate about student progress and is committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate would have been in a long-term or permanent teaching role and will be able to supply Hays with references from previous employers.
