Orion Automation are working in partnership with a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced coating solutions as they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to play a pivotal role in ongoing and future projects, supporting the Production Manager with a range of activities. The Mechanical Engineer will gain exposure to projects at all stages of the project life cycle and be involved in engineering activities across multiple disciplines as your career develops.

The Mechanical Engineer will report to the Production Manager, working on cutting-edge coating technology projects, supporting in a variety of ways, including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment onsite for diverse production and development purposes.
• Assist in the assembly and installation of new equipment, encompassing mechanical and electrical components.
• Conduct plumbing work tasks involving steel and plastic pipe, with training provided in any specific areas and techniques such as Swagelock.

Skills and Experience

• This is an entry-level position and will come with extensive training and development opportunities.
• Suitable for candidates who are currently undergoing, or have completed engineering apprenticeships.
• Scientific education to A Level or equivalent is essential.
• Any further scientific or engineering qualification is desirable.
• A mechanical or process engineering background would be highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of CAD or the ability to read technical drawings.
• Have an inquisitive mind with a keen interest in learning about new technology.
