Northern State University is seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Enrollment Officer to lead our enrollment management strategies and initiatives. The Chief Enrollment Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Northern State University by developing and implementing comprehensive enrollment strategies to attract, retain, and graduate a talented student body.

Qualifications:
• A Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration,
Marketing, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in enrollment management
or related fields within higher education.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic enrollment plans that
have resulted in increased student and underrepresented student enrollment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and leverage insights to inform
decision-making.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to
collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of best practices, emerging trends, and technologies in enrollment
management.


Responsibilities:

• Direct all aspects of the university’s admissions and enrollment efforts and unit budgets, and
leverage financial aid merit and need-based financial aid packages
• Lead the Enrollment Management Council in implementing Northern’s first comprehensive strategic
enrollment plan
• Provide leadership in the review and execution of the strategic enrollment plan, effectively collaborating with the
campus to implement strategies and provide regular updates on progress toward stated goals
utilizing clear metrics that indicate progress toward targeted outcomes
• Engage key campus units/individuals in developing a robust data analytics capacity and
maintain the timely capture, analysis, and reporting of enrollment data
• Efficiently and effectively manage prospects, leads, and applicants that maximize conversion
• Encompass team building, recruitment, training, mentoring, and coaching of internal and
territory recruiters
• Develop recruitment approaches for personas that represent traditional, non-traditional
transfer, and newly identified markets
• Provide support for recruiting, transition, and other campus events or programs ( HOWL , visit
days, non-official visits, etc.)
• Assess and develop recruitment strategies that align with institutional retention and
graduation goals utilizing data and best practices and leveraging technologies
Collaborate with the Director of Communications and Marketing to enhance brand identity,
awareness, and annual allocation of resources to grow enrollment
• Collaboratively work with Communications and Marketing to develop and oversee all
correspondence related to student recruitment, admissions, and enrollment, including
communications relative to print, email, telemarketing, multimedia, web, social and digital
media
• Strategize with deans, departments, and athletics to support and market admission initiatives
and provide expertise in the CRM system (Slate) and communication platforms

EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
• Masters degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Marketing or related field. A PhD is preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
• Demonstrated experience and leadership in enrollment management
• Demonstrated exemplary oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in marketing management
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing budgets from various funding sources
• Strong record demonstrating a high degree of judgment, integrity, diplomacy, and
confidentiality
