Our client, with a substantial residence on the outskirts of Canterbury in Kent, is seeking a Live-out Senior Housekeeper to assist with the smooth running of their residence.

The property is large – there are 12 bedrooms which are used regularly and a further 8 bedrooms which are occupied when the family entertain so it is imperative that candidates applying are motivated and efficient.   There is a team of housekeeping staff within the property that you would be expected to manage.

Duties include:

• Management of the housekeeping team
• Hands-on housekeeping duties – cleaning, dusting, tidying, and organising
• Ordering and restocking cleaning supplies
• Laundry and ironing
• Changing bed linen
• Silver cleaning, care of antiques and artwork
• Ad hoc duties/errands

Candidate requirements:

• Previous experience working within a private household/top end hotel
• Meticulous eye for detail and high standard cleaning & laundry abilities
• Energetic, diligent, and professional – ideally with experience working in a managerial role
• Confident being client-facing when required – including UHNWI guests
• Cat friendly

There is a train station approximately 10-15 minutes walk from the property so a driver is not essential.

Working days: 5 days per week with the flexibility to work extra days dependent on the family’s requirements.

Working hours: standard hours would be circa 8.00am–4.00pm / 9.00am–5.00pm, with flexibility.

Salary: negotiable depending on experience.
