Overview:
Due to recent acquisition activity and strong organic growth we are recruiting a Management Accountant to join our Gallagher Re Management Accounting team.
In this role you will report to the Senior Divisional Management Accountant and have a key focus on divisional reporting and help to develop appropriate value add reporting to key stakeholders throughout our business.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Management Accountant and wider team in production of accurate divisional reporting within the tight reporting deadlines
- Production and review of ad hoc reporting on Divisional Reporting as requested by CFO and assisting to establish key reporting outputs for senior stakeholder
- Ensure SOX requirements are fully met
- Liaising with Finance Business Partners and other departments out with Management Accounts team to provide support for queries
- Play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline our processes and ways of working with other teams to optimise efficiency
- Adhoc project work to support with implementation of new systems and processes
- Assistance and support in response to external and internal audit requests
- Help to supporting graduates and part qualified students in their development, and undertake ad hoc review activities of outputs from more junior members of the team
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CA/CPA or equivalent)
- Experience gained within a SOX and regulatory/control based environment desirable
- US GAAP experience highly desirable
- Ability to priority manage and adhere to challenging deadlines
- Flexible attitude to dealing with multiple tasks and environments
- Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail
