UnspecifiedA vacancy has arisen for a Global Trade Specialist to work within the Silicon Sensing Joint Venture business, located in Plymouth, UK.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day Global Trade (GT) aspects within the Silicon Sensing Business. Inclusive of Import/ Export requirements and Management Support System reporting for SSSL.
Interpreting, implementing, and enforcing Silicon Sensing Export policies and procedures across all functions, including: Shipping, Sales Logistics, Engineering and Sales.
Interpreting, implementing, and enforcing UK/EU trade regulations.
Where appropriate, updating Silicon Sensing Export policies and procedures (including standard job instructions) in line with prevailing export rules and regulations as set forth by the UK, Silicon sensing and/or its parent companies (Sumitomo Precision Products and Collins Aerospace).
Provide critical oversight to denied party screening for the Silicon Sensing business.
Review and provide determination of acceptance for all customer end user statements.
Point of Contact for Collins Aerospace GT.
Use and Administration of SPIRE (online export licensing system) account.
Liaise with Function Leads on GT matters.
Effective support to SSSL Staff and GT team.
Arranging appropriate GT awareness training.
Reporting non-compliance issues and overseeing remedial actions.
Central GT Point of Contact for C360s related to the undertaking of Silicon Sensing business.
Reporting monthly metrics via the Corporate GT Dashboard.
Hosting of, and supporting the business during compliance audits.
Requirements:
The candidate should be educated to degree level with exporting experience but in absence of a degree, demonstrable and relevant experience is required.
A background in a legal or contracts role would be beneficial.
In addition, candidates must be prepared to undertake ongoing professional training which will require travel predominately within the UK and occasionally internationally.
Security Clearance required.
