Learning Support Assistant at a vibrant secondary school and sixth form in
Greenwich .
Responsibilities: - Provide one-to-one support for students with special educational needs (SEN) within the classroom setting.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Support the teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, adapting materials and resources as necessary.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the individual needs of students are met effectively.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to both students and teachers.
Requirements: - Previous experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
- A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the school community.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, SEN, or related fields would be advantageous.
