We are, in effect, an internal business with researchers as our customers. At BMS, Kennedy Institute we are seeking to recruit a Senior Technician , this is a full-time permanent position, 36.5 hours per week. As a Senior Technician , your main focus is to ensure the day to day care of the animals is carried out to the standards set out in both the Home office code of practice and the university’s standard policy. We are looking for a candidate who has experience in working in an animal research facility. You will be working with the facility manager to ensure workloads are distributed effectively. Strong attention to detail and the ability to organise your own work load is a key part of this role as well as providing technical and administrative support to ensure a smooth running of the facility. You must also have a good comprehensive knowledge of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986. For more detail, please click on the document below.
