Job description
Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Senior Payroll - Payroll Supervisor to join a very well established business based in the Crawley, West Sussex area. The Payroll Team Lead will be part of the Payroll division, supporting the Payroll Manager and supervising and supporting the Payroll Administrators.
Salary: up to £49K + excellent benefits
Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Hours: 9-5.30 Mon-Fri
Senior Payroll - Payroll Team Leader duties:
- Supervise the Payroll team
- Support the Payroll Manager in the delivery of an accurate payroll
- Checking calculations and input of other team members
- Assist with the submission of HMRC RTI reporting
- Support the Payroll Manager with payment of Taxes at the end of each payroll period and the payment of Class 1A NICs in respect of Benefits in Kind.
- Produce and reconcile reports at the end of each payroll period for stakeholders.
- Complete P11D reporting and childcare voucher assessments annually
- Creating and sending BACS files
- Importing new starters to the payroll, salary and cash allowances, and reconciling values with HR reports
- Importing timesheet values to the payroll and reconciling values
- Reconciling PAYE and completing payment paperwork
- Supporting the Payroll division with day-to day queries
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience of working in a similar Senior Payroll / Payroll Lead - supervising a team and proven senior Payroll experience in-house
- Experience of supervising and developing payroll team members
- Good organisation skills, ability to work to tight deadlines
