This role offers flexibility in work hours, hybrid working, and the option to work from 2 North-West Locations.
Supported by a dynamic, knowledgeable Financial Controller, this new role is a real opportunity for someone to develop their skills and will provide further exposure to commercial activity.

Your new role as Assistant/Management Accountant:

The Assistant/Management Accountant will support the financial operations of the company by performing a rounded set of duties bridging all areas of finance. The role shall be hands-on, and you shall not only ensure the day to day finance administrative/clerical requirements are complete, but also be responsible for month-end duties and analysis in a varied role. You shall take the lead over the maintenance of financial statements, whilst ensuring the financial ledgers are up to date and reconciled accordingly. During month-end you shall assist with the preparation of accounts, be involved in the annual budget process and provide financial analysis to aid decision making for the stakeholders. Day to day you shall be responsible for financial maintenance across sales and purchase ledgers, as well as ensuring bank statements are reconciled, then also have the opportunity to add value to the month end process and more meaty accounting duties where possible. This is an exciting role where there is a clear opportunity to develop and grow.

Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:

With a proven track record in a similar role, you shall have been responsible for all duties outlined above and have a minimum of 2 years experience in a rounded, hands on role. Able to add value to month-end, as well as managing day to day ledgers you s will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work within high volumes of financial data. With strong attention to detail you shall also be proficient with Xero accounting systems, a similar financial ERP and also have proficient skills in Excel. Preferably AAT qualified as a minimum, you shall be able to manage your own workload effectively, and be able to deliver reporting schedules in a timely manner.
