Job Title : Teacher (Alternative Provision)
Location : Thrapston
Vacancy Type : Permanent/Full Time (term time only)
Salary : Up to £40,000 DOE
Role Overview
Our client, a Schools Group, with 13 OFSTED-regulated schools, are looking for a Teacher to provide positive encouragement and feedback to ensure pupils reach their full potential. The school consists of a core team of the Head of Provision, three teachers, and two support staff. Further support is also provided by regional and national staff, who work with several schools across our group.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
- Set high standards which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- Promote good progress outcomes by pupils
- Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
- Participate in arrangements for preparing pupils for external tests
- Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures, so as to support the school’s values and vision
Requirements Before Applying:
- Hold, or be willing to work towards, QTS/QTLS
- GCSEs in Maths and English (C or 4 grade and above or equivalent).
- Experience of working within an education setting or equivalent.
- Experience working with vulnerable pupils.
