Our mission is simple yet powerful: to make buildings better using our standard, software, and expertise. Our software solutions allow our building maintenance guidance to be readily accessible by service engineers in the field, as well as to property managers and building owners.
The SFG20 platform contains over 2000 maintenance schedules for over 70 different asset types. The platform can be accessed through a mobile application and its API allows integration with Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) and other FM software providers.
SFG20 has a dominant market position in building maintenance instructions, maintenance scheduling and costing. SFG20 has ambitious plans to continue to grow revenue by 40% per annum over the next three years. The property and construction markets in the UK and around the world are changing rapidly. Data regarding assets is now starting to move through the Design, Build and Operate phases of a building. The Smart Building initiative is revolutionising energy consumption and maintenance. SFG20 plans to be at the heart of this new world, and the Marketing Executive role is central to achieving that objective.
SFG20 is headquartered in Penrith, Cumbria and has an office in central London.
Role Overview
As part of the marketing team, you will be instrumental in delivering the SFG20 marketing plan and measurement of activity. Very hands on, and digitally focussed, it will involve creative writing and working with our customers, internal stakeholders, and the wider market. The projects that you will work on will have direct impact on the growth of SFG20, by raising brand awareness that leads to customer growth.
The salary for this role is £35,000 per annum.
This role will support the Marketing Manager – Brand and Communications by handling executional elements of the brand plan with minimal oversight. Suited to an ambitious individual who is ready to learn fast, prove themselves, and make their mark
Main Activities
- Content Creation : Create regular blog articles (2+ per week), using the SEO plan defined by Marketing Manager. Gather information from a wide variety of sources, including attending conferences, interviewing customers and other industry experts. Manage upload to website.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure all content meets the company’s high standards for quality, accuracy, and relevance.
- SEO Optimisation : Utilise SEO practices to maximise the reach and effectiveness of content.
- Customer Focus : Craft content that speaks directly to the needs, challenges, and aspirations of facility owners and managers, maintenance service providers, and other professionals in the industry.
- Compliance and Governance : Ensure all published content complies with industry regulations, standards, and the company’s own guidelines.
- Performance Monitoring : Use analytics tools to gauge the effectiveness of content and strategies, making adjustments as necessary.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with the other members of the marketing team, sales, and learning & development to produce content that drives website traffic, and customer engagement.
- Digital Partner Programme : This role will be the main point of contact with Digital Partners on a day to day basis. Responsible for creating and maintaining dedicated partner web pages. Liaise with marketing team to ensure all elements of the Digital Partner marketing promotional elements are delivered e.g., social media promotion, logos/links on website, backlinks from partner sites to SFG20 website etc.
- Accreditation : Create marketing materials to launch and promote awareness of the accreditation programme
- Develop market awareness: through conferences, trade shows, personal networking as well as websites and social networking. Keep abreast of Property and Construction industry trends.

Experience (Essential)
- Proven experience in a marketing role
- Proven track record of creating compelling content in written format
Skills (Essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills e.g., able to write compelling marketing communications, such as blog articles
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Proficient at time management, self-organisation and rapid delivery of tasks to a high standard
Experience (Desirable)
- B2B marketing
- Partnership marketing programmes
- Aware of SEO best practices and reporting tools, such as Moz
- Cloud-based software / the built environment sector / building compliance would be advantageous
Skills (Desirable)
- Proficiency of Hubspot email automation & CMS
Qualification (Desirable)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
